Wordless(ish) Wednesday: Spaghetti Worms!

I've attempted to get Q to eat pasta about a gabillion times. Bowties, spirals, & regular spaghetti. Buttery garlic noodles, some with butternut squash sauce, some with regular ole spaghetti sauce. He won't eat any of them. The other night when I put the bowl of spaghetti in front of him he actually pushed it away like he was afraid of it. So we started being silly and acting like it was worms. He played with it, but still. Didn't eat any. Oh, two year olds. You sure are crazy little people, aren't you?

A Little Trip to the Beach

This last weekend we took a trip to Deception Pass State park. I'm working on a post with more pictures, but here's a little sneak peak.

Three years ago today I married this sweet boy

He makes me giggle

He mostly pretends to listen when I'm blabbing

He understands how much I love cake and mostly trusts me not to bite his hand off

He's a good smoocher

And a good hugger

He doesn't mind that I'm a goof ball. At least, I don't think he does

He likes my crazy friends

Even when they tell a room full of people embarrassing stories about his new bride

I guess his friends are okay too

Let's not talk about crazy families ; )

Wordless(ish) Wednesday: New Pool!

Sunday morning we went out to the store to get a pool for Q since it was supposed to be so nice out. It's pretty dang fancy. And even though the water was freezing, he had a ball.

More Brother Sweetness

For all my squeeing at little girly dresses and striped tights, thing like my boys cuddling make me pretty damn happy to be the mama of two little boys.

Oh, plusalso? My husband saying stuff like "...then I wondered if they'd be each others best man at their weddings...". Um, sorry what now? I couldn't hear you over my heart exploding. As the girls* say, dead. Writing this from beyond.


*By girls I mean bloggers and such. I do believe my vernacular has changed a lot through reading so many blogs. It's much more strange to pick up words and phrases from people you don't know. Makes me feel a little like a strange stalkery weirdo type person.

Friday Five

Wahoo Friday! Yeah Baby! Love it! Can you tell I'm excited?! Well alright then!
Um. Anyway.

1. My hair is FINALLY mostly long enough to pull back. I say mostly because there's one wonky piece that's still too short, but I think will get in line if my hairs are wet. I am SO relieved if for no other reason than Archer is starting to get pretty grabby. I just love it when he gets my neck skin. He's lucky he's so damn adorable.

2. My nephew Devin turns 6 on Saturday, which just cannot even be possible. I do have to go to a Chucky Cheese though which is kind of a nightmare.

3. A couple of recent blog posts I've just loved. One from Emily @ Peck Life and this one from Mandy @ the Haps I'm not especially great at expressing myself (Which is why I won't try and explain why I enjoyed these posts) - but these gals are and I'm with them on so many points.

4.  Need last minute ideas for Mother's Day? I think Crappy Pictures has you covered

5. I'm not really going to say much about this whole Time Magazine cover controversy hoopla. I will just say I'm really sick of reading the back and forth about EVERY aspect of parenthood, and whether this or that is the right or wrong thing. Blech.

Sweetness

The other day pretty much the cutest thing in the history of the world happened. I was sitting on the couch and had been feeding Archer. Q was standing next to me playing with his new Mr. Potato Head. Archer is at that point where he's easily distracted when nursing. So he'd stopped nursing and was watching Q play. And he had just the BIGGEST smile on his face, and then just started laughing out of nowhere. SO ADORABLE. He was stretching his neck trying to keep his eyes on Q when he'd move, and laughed again. Just so sweet! You can just see how delighted Archer is by Q. And Q is pretty fond of him too.
